Workforce of the future
As a leading provider of technical training in the North East, the Energy Academy works closely with industry partners like Shepherd Offshore, Port of Tyne and ORE Catapult, among many others, to tackle industry skills shortages and create clear routes into employment.
Our expanded Energy Academy will help even more people gain the skills needed by the growing energy sector than ever before. By building specialist training facilities for carbon capture, hydrogen fuels and battery storage alongside our existing training in offshore, subsea and renewable energy techniques, this new development will connect students with an even broader variety of real job opportunities, making us the only provider in the UK to offer skills training for the energy sector from Entry Level through to Master's Degree studies.
What we offer
Our Energy Academy offers students the opportunity to begin with 16–18 college courses and progress through to degrees and apprenticeships, gaining practical experience in advanced energy and engineering through industry-led training and partnerships.
